"Assessing the reproducibility of research findings with implications for prostate cancer patients"
The Movember Foundation-PCF Scientific Reproducibility Initiative is a collaboration between Science Exchange, the Center for Open Science, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Movember Foundation focused on assessing the reproducibility of research findings with implications for prostate cancer patients. The goal of the initiative is to use experts from the Science Exchange network to replicate the key experimental findings from high-impact biomedical research findings that could speed earlier detection and new cures for prostate cancer. The replication studies will be conducted according to best practices established by the Center for Open Science, which include having the experimental protocol, materials, data, and results made openly available via the Open Science Framework. The final list of studies to be replicated will be made by the Prostate Cancer Foundation's Chief Science Officer, Dr. Howard Soule.
